Hate to “bump” but any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

OK, thank you so much, that is really helpful information. Yes, definitely this should be included in S2Member, but I’m investigating other membership plug-ins and it doesn’t seem to be included with them either. Thank you again!

Thanks for that reply — that may work as we would be integrating MailChimp. I have never done that before and am not really familiar with MailChimp, could you please give me a more detailed explanation on how the auto-responder is set up? Thank you!

Oops — this had to do with the special redirect URL I set for the login welcome page. Seems to be working now!

Another thought: could adding custom profile fields to the profile page cause this issue? I notice now that when I visit a user’s profile page my username and password are automatically being thrown into fields on that profile — the wrong fields, and on somebody else’s profile. This is getting very messy….

Never mind. Thank goodness for the S2Member reset!

Never mind… dug around and realized I can set up the button as a one-time non-recurring no trial button and all is good. Why didn’t I see that before? Did a trial run and it works like a charm. So, the free version wins! Thanks, S2Member!

Hi — Does anyone have an answer for this? I really would like to go with S2Member Pro — and get this site online soon — but I need S2Member Pro to have the capability I mention above. I am fine with using buttons and not the Pro forms, I just need people to be able to check out via PayPal Payments Standard WITHOUT having a PayPal account required.

Thank you!

Hi Alec,
Thank you for your quick reply! We’re using PayPal Payments Standard (business) — it’s a non-profit group so we don’t want to pay the upgrade to Pro — and PayPal Payments Standard (at least in the U.S.) does allow checkout without a PayPal account for every type of button EXCEPT subscriptions. So the question is whether, on the S2Member side, there is any setting that allows these “subscriptions” to be treated as something else… or whether there is any other way, via programming rather than changing our PayPal account type… to get around this. Thanks again!
