Authorize.net coupon codes not being applied

We have pro forms and a coupon code set up as follows to give customers 1/2 off their first month of memebership:

CODE|50%|01/02/2014|ta-only

and the shortcode:

[s2Member-Pro-AuthNet-Form level=”1″ ccaps=”” desc=”1 Month @ $22.48 / then $44.95 USD / Monthly (recurring charge, for ongoing access)” cc=”USD” custom=”domain.com” ta=”44.96″ tp=”1″ tt=”M” ra=”44.95″ rp=”1″ rt=”M” rr=”1″ rrt=”” accept=”visa,mastercard,amex” coupon=”” accept_coupons=”1″ default_country_code=”US” captcha=”1″ /]

The promo/discount field shows up on the checkout form, but the discount is not being applied. Customers are being charged the amount as defined in the “ta” field. I even tried entering the name of the coupon in the coupon=”” filed, to no avail.
