Another update … I have just been told that none of the payments are working. Here is the actual email I received: Jeremy, I just tested our membership issues both ways, as a new client: via my personal paypal account and with my credit card Paying with my personal Paypal account: it is not working anymore. No payment appears in our cherrybomb paypal account. As a client, I didn’t receive any password and no userlevel1 was created. Nothing is working anymore. With my Mastercard. 2 things are working: a userlevel1 was created, the $19.99 appears in our paypal account. |

Ok, now they say they must continue to accept credit cards. I have forced ssl on every page that there is a checkout on, including the members option page, but when someone signs up for recurring monthly payments and pays with a credit card they are never signed up for the recurring payments. They have called PayPal a few times now and believe everything is correct on their end. Any ideas? Thanks |

Ok thanks, they were using the WordPress HTTPS plugin to secure those pages, and when I tried to tell them they needed to start using the custom field, they decided to quit taking credit cards altogether and just stick w/PayPal. I told them they would have to regenerate all of the previous shortcodes they have used, that is correct right? |

Got ya, will that need to be added to every page that has downloadable content for sale, or if I add it to one it will be default on the rest? Thx |

Ha… I just realized my posts says, “Visa or Mastercard Payments now working”, obviously I meant “not” working. I relayed the message about the Paypal setting, also how could you tell the s2-ssl=yes option wasn’t turned on? It is going to a secure page. Nonetheless I’ll give it a shot. Thanks! |

I believe it was mentioned on both of these: A shortcode example is:
And that is the shortcode for URL:https://cherrybombwrestling.com/christie-diane-von-hoffman-video-purchase/ Also one customer said they received a message, “DPRP is disabled “

Finally… I got it figured out. I changed my bucket policy using the Amazon S3 policy generator that can be found here:
Here are the options I used: Effect: allow Now if I could get the SSL working I could be done with that site forever, but I know that has nothing to do with you guys, actually neither did this, so I truly appreciate the help. Thanks! |

I’m not a PHP pro by all means, is there a simple way to force a download w/a PHP string? Maybe that will help |

I know right, I called Godaddy about it and they said I needed to do redirects, he didn’t understand the redirects were going to redirect if I did, I just don’t have much more time to spend on this project. Please let me know if you find out something about the download links. |

I’ve got another off topic question, the site owner is wanting to do away with credit card transactions and just use paypal because we can’t get her SSL to work on the posts selling the videos. She has an SSL cert installed, and we installed the WordPress HTTPS plugin, but when we check “secure post” it doesn’t secure it, therefore none of the credit card transactions are working properly like you mentioned above. |

If I right click and open in a new tab, which of course would be the same as just clicking on it, the browser tries to load http://cherrybombwrestling.com/?s2member_file_download=/Leilani_Kai_vs_Taeler_Hendrix.mp4, but is redirected to And then I get the

If I right click, save as, the file it tries to save is Leilani_Kai_vs_Taeler_Hendrix.xml. If I right click and copy link address I get http://cherrybombwrestling.com/?s2member_file_download=/Leilani_Kai_vs_Taeler_Hendrix.mp4 copied to my clipboard. I’m don’t even see how that is possible. |

I even tried a different post that time, my exact string I put in was:
Where Leilani_Kai_vs_Taeler_Hendrix.mp4 is the name of the file in the S3 bucket. Got the same error. |

Getting the same thing, it really looks like a permission issue:
I read somewhere that the crossdomain.xml file needs some type of restrictions, have you ever heard of this? |

Ok I deleted it, and added the one I posted above, made it public, but when I try to download from a download link I get
The streaming works fine, as it always has, it’s just the download links. And you were right, logging was turned on, I disabled that.

What goes in the xml file? I found this in another post, would this apply to any crossdomain.xml file?

OK the crossdomain.xml file says it has errors in it when I open it. Another strange thing is there seems to be something writing files to the bucket, they look like 2012-10-01-19-03-44-5592hgsbe… which i am assuming every time a video is accessed it is creating one of these files since they look like date and times. Could the error in the xml file be causing this? If I simply delete the crossdomain.xml will a new one be created error free? I am new to this service, but looks great when it works. |

You were right, the cloudfront was disabled for some unknown reason, I enabled it and waited about 30 minutes, but now when I click on the download link it gives me an access denied xml page:
Access Denied IzSYST0OTiM6xaERRzjrbDipUoWCkGYrtRbaM7gRgCjvWhURbRdtz+4D7bhGp9Vy Any idea on why it would be doing this? Also she does have SSL on the site, but probably not enabled on those posts, I can go back and enable that. Thanks for your help. |

I get the pop up box that says “–Confirm File Download– you have downloaded x out of unlimited..”, so at this point you think it’s going to work, but instead you are redirected to a server not found page. The URL it is trying to go to is something like
We are getting some pretty hostile customers so I appreciate any help. |

What is stopping that customer from sharing the link to the paid post page if you don’t have to be logged in? At this point I don’t even care if it is sharable, I just want it to work.
The above statement contradicts the one below it, does it not? I’m not trying to be difficult here, just trying to understand this so my client will be happy. If the file will be protected at some level or with a custom capability, which a user not logged in won’t have, thus no access to the file, how is my assumption correct when my assumption was the link (to the purchased post) the buyer is sent should work for one year (because I set it to expire in one year) and should also work w/o having to be logged into an account. Are these accurate assumptions? Google Chrome Incognito mode is like Private mode in Firefox. It will open up a new browser window, keeps chrome from storing information about the websites you’ve visited. So when I open in incognito mode and visit the site I am not logged in. |
