Hi There S2Member Community,

I have a few questions that I need answered about S2Member’s Capabilities.

We have a membership site that includes the following:
-Wordpress Woo Canvas Theme
-BuddyPress
-S2Member

We want to split our community into 2 separate communities using Level-1 and Level-2 access for specific members.
We ultimately want to create 2 different member experiences using 1 website. Is it possible with S2Member to:

1. Redirect members to their own homepages based on their membership level (1 or 2)?
2. Make BuddyPress plugin only accessible for Level-2 S2Members?

Does anyone have any suggestions, we are looking for a solution without having to create an entirely separate membership site.

Many thanks!!

Hello Blair,

1. Redirect members to their own homepages based on their membership level (1 or 2)?

This is not possible as-is, but there might be a work-around: Video » s2Member (Client Portals?)

Or, if that’s not what you’re looking for, then you can customize a page depending on the user’s level or custom capabilities using s2Member conditionals, check this article for more info: Knowledge Base » s2Member® Conditionals

2. Make BuddyPress plugin only accessible for Level-2 S2Members?

I’m not sure how the BuddyPress URL structure works, but currently the only way to block access to BuddyPress is using URI restrictions, which you can find under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Restriction Options -› URI Access Restrictions.

Hope this helps. :)
