4 month free trial?

I am a web developer. We have a client who has a special request for an online newsletter. They want to allow people to sign up to view articles from their online newsletter for the first 4 months for free, but after that they will be required to pay for a subscription to continue viewing articles. Is this possible with this system?

Hi Mindy, Yes. This is very possible with s2Member. This capability is outlined within Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Membership Level # Buttons and also Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Membership Level # Forms. You will want to fill in the first line of forms with I’ll offer the first 4 months @ $0.00.

Hi Bruce, I am trying to do something similar to Mindy, however my developer tells me that even the free trial must be processed through paypal. I am not sure that someone will want to give their credit card details even though we assure them they won’t be charged for 90 days. Is that the case? Or does the user need to finalise their registration and payment with paypal at the end of the trial period? Leisl

The trial set up by s2Member will go directly through PayPal, and users will need to enter their details before the trial begins. If you’d like to give users a way to get free access for a specific amount of time, you could use Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Registration Access Links.
