'Add a Member'

I have added a Test user to my paid subscription site however on log in this user is redirected via the below link. I have discovered that the original link can be viewed directly by admin but not bt this user.

I have set the Users access to membership level 1 which is usually paid through paypal but I am wondering if it is the lack of payment that is causing the problem?? I have also tinkered with the Custom Capabilities in the user settings (using suggested coding and then – current_user_canaccess_s2member_level1). But this has not combatted the problem.

The user can however access all the member protected areas.
I have offered free membership to users in a bid to build my directory of people so I guess I may have to sucki it up and just paste a message into that page explaining users who received free membership will see this page but ignore it etc. That my best option for free access to paid membership? ( I cannot yet afford to go pro but definitely in the pipeline!)
