Hi,
I was wondering if is possible to add an upload field in profile page from where users would be able to upload their profile picture. I had a look in options that are there by default and I can add only textarea, text, checkboxes, radio, select but no upload. Please let me know if this can be done and if yes how.

Thanks.

Hi Maxim.

No, the custom profile fields don’t support file uploads.

You may want to look for a plugin that lets your users upload profile images. I believe there must be something for that already. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/

I hope you find a good one. :)

Well, I don’t think that a plugin would help as I need this in registration form that comes from s2member, any other suggestions?

I see…

Well, I’d suggest not including that during registration. The more things you ask the person to do, the less people you’ll have completing the thing. I suggest that you make the registration quick and simple and later invite them to add more things to their profiles.

If you really must have it on registration in the pro-form, you’ll need to customize it. A freelance developer may do this for you. You could try sites like eLance, oDesk or jobs.wordpress.net.

I hope it helps. :)
