Hi There, I am not sure if S2 Member free or Pro has the following feature but it is something I ideally would like to be able to have on the site. I would like to allow access to a limited number of users of the website the ability to add/create new users to the site via the front end. They would need to assign the new user as S2 Member Level 1 and also to type in the name of the custom capability. I can add them as administrators and they can use the dashboard however this gives them lots of access and I do not want them being able to view all users of the site or have the option to delete users. The selected users generally are assigned to add users within their business/charity etc to the website and give them access to selected pages based on their requirements. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Phil UPDATE I have worked out by installing a plugin like ‘members’ or ‘role scoper’ I can create a role that allows a user to add new users. Not ideal for what I am looking to do but it does the job as a temp solution until I can get something else coded (unless someone has a solution for above) However because I have enabled the feature in S2 member to lock down wp-admin areas now it does not allow this new role to access that page but re-directs, anyone got an idea how to work around this please as do not want all users to access the profile page using wordpress dashboard. Thanks in advance Phil |
