hello – i am very happy with this plugin – i have used it for a site that has free members – so when they log in they see additional menu options.

however – i would like to add multiple level 0 subscribers – so when a particular subscriber logs in – they see specific options based on their level 0 category.

is it possible to add multiple level 0 subscribers?

i am happy to buy the pro if it offers this flexibility.

thanks.

Hello Mark,

You mean offer several free levels? Or offer several “branches” of level 0?

If it’s the second then you can easily achieve it using custom capabilities. Check under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› API / Scripting -› Custom Capabilities for more info.

You can also watch this video to learn more about custom capabilities:

hello Eduan,

thanks for your link – but i am not so sure i understand how to actually add new subscriber types. i am effectively wanting to add multiple free level subscriptions and restrict what subscribers can view based on these.

example – id like up to 10 types of free subscibers – something like – level0a, level0b etc. and when creating a new page – restrict it to level0a so only these subscribers can view it.

i hope this makes sense. as i say – i am happy to upgrade if necessary – but i need to make sure this is possible first.

many thanks.

Mark.

Hello Mark,

Yes this is possible, but you need to use custom capabilities as I said in my previous post. You would simply offer level 0 along with custom capabilities.

Although to be able to do this you need to use s2Member pro version’s pro-forms. Otherwise you can’t offer level 0 with custom capabilities. :/
