Hi,

I have a client who is asking me to add %%role%% in the Administrative: New User Notification email. I’ve read the previous forum post (http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/add-role-to-new-user-notification-message/) stating that this replacement code isn’t available for use in the new user email, but I would like to request that this option be added. Thank you for your consideration.

Trevor

Thank you for your inquiry.

I’ve put in a request for this to be added in a future version of s2Member.

If you need this functionality immediately, and are willing to implement custom code to achieve this, I would recommend manually adding this replacement code by filtering the email through the wp_mail filter. This filter is what all mail sent through WordPress is filtered with.

That’s about as far as we can go with custom code. If you need further assistance, we recommend http://jobs.wordpress.net, or another freelance web site where WordPress® experts are offering their expertise through a bid on your project.

Bruce, thank you for your quick response. I really appreciate it. I manually adding this replacement code by filtering the email through the wp_mail filter but it looks like the user role still isn’t showing up in the notification. Any other advice? Thanks again for your initial response and any help you might be able to provide.
