alternate to s2stream: viper's video plugin

I am having difficulty getting the jwplayer to work. have tried all the tips shared in the support forum but missing something obviously.

On a hunch, I thought I’ll try Viper’s Video Quicktags shortcodes which I am currently using for all mp4 videos (non streaming, not AWS/CloudFront related, simple embeds of mp4s on my server).

I does work when I use shortcode [flv image=”http://site.com/video.jpg”http://site.com/subfolder/?s2member_file_download=/video.mp4/flv

Is this method any less secure that s2stream shortcode? I want to use rtmp with no fallback to prevent downloading videos easily.

My videos are in cloudfront. Have the same issue with jw player regardless of whether i store video files within the s2member-files directory or cloudfront. it just displays blank, no player, nothing. Tried alternate shortcodes and php code options, no luck.
