assign specific category to specific role

Here’s what we want.

Create different user groups for the different small groups that we have.

Each group will be independent from each other, meaning if Group A has a certain post or page, only Group A can see it and Group B and others should not see it.

I think this can be achieved via categories, but how do I assign a category that is only viewable on a specific role?
