Bug? 30 minute penalty brute force restrictio

A lot of my members are writing that every time they try to login now, they are told they have 30 minute penalty because of too many attempts at loggin in. I have installed wordfence and in the logins I do not see these attempts from the user who are writing to me, so might there be something else that is causing this?

http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/multiple-failed-login-attempts/ I have the same problem as in this thread. I have to reset the logins several times daily now, because my users cannot login because of too many attempts to login and 30 min. penalty. Any solution for this?
