Buy Now Protected Pg Setup for a bookmarklet

I have a browser app (bookmarklet) that customers will be able to access to drag to their browser bar after purchase.

I have gone thru ALL of the setup options, reviewed a lot of the videos – basically have spent the past 12 hours attempting to set up everything correctly, yet there is a major disconnect.

Since the page I am protecting will not have a file download but rather a bookmarklet to move to the browser bookmarks or favorites bar – what are the steps I need to take to make this work. I’ve gone thru all the settings and I’m still not clear on what the options I need to complete. I need to have the buy button on my home page and that seems to be a problem. I thought it would be easier to forgo the membership and just have a protected page where customers had access to the bookmarklet, yet there is a message at the top of the S2 Members options page that says I am required to configure membership options. What do i set that to? Again, the buy button will be on the home page, yet if I attempt to select the home page, I get an error. Also, is there anything special that needs to be done with the code stored in the bookmarklet? I wouldn’t think so as that is already stored in my domain.

Also, I am not understanding S2’s integration with aweber/paypal – is the customer’s name and email somehow captured in aweber and a confirmation is generated – not only regarding the purchase of the product but an opt-in to the list?

Is there a way to outline all the steps I need to take, so I can see what I’ve already done correctly and what I’m missing? I’m missing clarity on the whole process. And I still don’t know if I need to capture the customer email address as part of an optin outside of the purchase. I’m not clear on how that works either

Any insight anybody could provide would be wonderful. I don’t know where to go from here.
