Can Level #0 be set to expire like a trial?

I have an S2 free membership. I would like to set my Level #0 Free Subscriber to have free subscriptions expire in 6 months so I can then make them pay something for that plus more which I will include in Level #1. I don’t see any way to make that happen. It seems that membership expirations are administrated through Palpal leaving me no way to offer a limited free trial membership for free. Is that correct? Or does Pro have that option?
