I’m logged in, and all that, but I’m in a loop with the “…please use our Cust. Supp. Forums…” there’s no place to post a question…

Will someone please help direct me on this?

Not clear to me, at all.

In the meantime, I’m simply wanting s2’s recommendation for video hosting, and when that’s really necessary.

Thank you,
John

Hello John,
the customer support forums are only accessible for people that have paid for the pro version of s2Member.

So if you have the pro version, I suggest you login with the account that has the license already bought, and at the bottom of the customer support forums, you can post your question.

In the meantime, I’m simply wanting s2′s recommendation for video hosting, and when that’s really necessary.

I’m not quite sure what you mean with this, could you please clarify a little bit? Thanks.

Hope this helps. :)

Eduan,

Thanks for your reply. I didn’t know about the support / Pro thing. Now I do, thanks to you.

I was looking for some way to determine, at what point should I no longer host my videos on my hosting server where my website is located? I was thinking maybe it’s based on the membership size, or bandwidth consumption, or something measurable that determines when I should consider something like BrightCove or Amazon, or others.

Thanks,
John

Hi John.

Well, it comes down to disk space and bandwidth use, as well as speed of the connection. Amazon Web Services is an awesome solution for file hosting and distribution, and very cheap. s2Member integrates with it to protect your files with s2Member’s download protection.

I hope that helps. :)
