Although I have properly configured recaptcha in S2Pro, the pro form generated by s2 for free users does not work when added to the registration page. (see below)
[s2Member-Pro-PayPal-Form register="1" level="0" ccaps="" desc="Signup now, it's Free!" custom="rsdcrps.org" tp="0" tt="D" captcha="clean" /]

Frustratingly however, the proform works perfectly on a newly created test page and creates a working captcha with no issues. I have tried everything that I can think of to try and implement the captcha to our registration page, and have scoured the forums to no avail. Short of getting rid of S2 and moving in another direction, Im feeling a bit stuck. I could really use some support. Thanks in advance for any aid.

Thank you for reporting this important issue.

This leads me to think that this is probably a caching issue. Do you have a caching plugin installed on your installation? If so, clear the cache. Otherwise please send us login information via Private Contact Form so we can find the problem.

Thank you for the reply. There is currently no active caching plugins on the site. I will forward you login information in a private message for you to have a look. Thanks again.

Thanks for your patience.

I just reviewed your installation and your s2Member Shortcodes. I actually find only one s2Member Pro Form Shortcode on your site; and it exists in a test page that you created. Upon testing this Page of yours (and also one of my own tests on your site), I find that s2Member’s Pro Form is working properly, and the reCAPTCHA box is present. Please let me know what I’ missing. Thanks!

FYI: This registration page (http://rsdcrps.org/register/) is powered by BuddyPress and not be s2Member®. This is NOT a Pro Form, and it will not exhibit functionality commonly associated with s2Member® Pro Forms. I think this might be a point of confusion in this thread?

Jason,
Thank you for your reply. As I stated in my initial post, I was able to get recaptcha working properly usuing an s2member pro form in a test page. The problem is simply that I am not able to get it working in the registration page where I want it to be. We currently do not have the pro form on the page that you mentioned, (http://rsdcrps.org/register/) however we have added and deleted it many times over. As this is a page powered by buddy press, is there any work around that you might be able to recommend to be able to get the captcha working on this page? There appears to be a conflict between S2member, buddypress, and our setup. I have tried going at this from every direction that I can think of including replacing the registration page all together and changing the html, but I am not having any luck with that. I wasnt able to get it to present via ftp install on the registration page either. any help you can offer would be much appreciated.

I do greatly appreciate a number of the features that S2member has to offer. My impression is, as is stated in the quick start guide, is that “2Member uses the default Login/Registration system for WordPress®, s2Member is also compatible with themes, and other plugins ( such as BuddyPress ).” I recognize that if I am to if I use Custom Registration/Profile Fields to work with both s2Member and with BuddyPress, I need to configure them with s2Member. I have tried to do this and have not been able to succeed in that regard. Ideally, you can support me in understanding how to do this, so that I may be able to get the desired captcha page on our registration page.

The preference would be to keep the setup as is with all of the existing profile fields tied into the registration page, as they directly correlate to the user accounts in buddy press. If this is not possible with S2member, I am amenable to recreating a new registration page and the corresponding pages to follow. It just needs to get done at this point. way too much time wasted on such a trivial issue.

Thanks for the follow-up :-)

It sounds like you’ve been editing your BuddyPress Registration Page in the WordPress® editor. As far as I know, this is not possible. I mean, you can do it, but BuddyPress will simply ignore any content you add to this Page.

When you designate a Page as your BuddyPress Registration Page, it simply becomes a placeholder. This BuddyPress Registration form is generated through a combination of BuddyPress itself and your BuddyPress-compatible theme. Please check the BuddyPress forums for assistance with this.

If you need a reCAPTCHA box on your BuddyPress Registration form, you will need a BuddyPress plugin, or a BuddyPress theme which makes this possible.

If you configure Custom Registration/Profile Fields with s2Member® and you enable s2Member’s BuddyPress integration with Registration/Profile Fields, they will be displayed on your BuddyPress Registration form. See: Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields
