I want to process the url parmeters in a signup and store it in a custom field in the profile. For instance I want the url http://web.com/signup?ref=tomjone to be processed on a page with the s2 shortcut so the tomjones is stored in a field in that users profile.

Can you direct me as the best way to do that. I can code.
