Greetings,

I am working on creating a WordPress site using the S2member Pro plugin. However, my implementation is pretty complex and I’m still fairly new to WordPress development.

Here is what I need to do:

A user has an option to sign up as a supervisor or a employee for X amount of dollars.

If a user signs up as a supervisor an account is created.
When that user signs in he has access to a special supervisor page.
On that page is an option to add users.
For each user that is created it becomes a child user of this supervisor account and the supervisor account’s monthly subscription goes up X amount of dollars which depends on how many users he added.

How tough would this be to implement? Is this possible with s2member? I’m a decent developer, but lack experience with WordPress. I’m on a short time frame, so I can’t spend a lot of time digging through the source.

I hope I explained what I need well enough. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hello Bret,

This is possible, but not by default, you would have to code this in I’m afraid.

The way I would do it is to check what option the user chose through GET, and then have another script generate the correct button depending on what the user chose.

Hope this helps. :)

Hi Bret.

So you want a user to be able to pay recurringly for other users to have access? And you want that to be added to his existing subscription, is that it?

A subscription’s amount can not be changed after created, at least not with s2Member, not sure if the gateway itself lets you do it. And creating separate subscriptions, one for each new user he adds, would not be possible either because s2Member currently only works with a single subscription per user.

You could do something with one-time payments, then the supervisor would be able to pay for more access that way and it wouldn’t be a problem, but they won’t recur, he’d have to pay manually each time.

Another option would be for the supervisor to create a new account for each person he wants to add, creating a new subscription for each. That may work.

I hope that helps. :)
