Pre-Sales Question re possibilities…

I wish to install S2 on main site, say http://mainsite.com and to restrict / provide access to various items of content.

No challenge with that.

But, I wish to install BuddyPress as a separate WordPress installation (theme on main site isn’t good with buddypress) say http://mainsite.com/buddypress

1) Is it possible to control access to the buddypress install as a consequence of membership at main site? ie one membership with S2 only installed on main site but access via link on main site and restricted to only paid members?

2) If set up as recurring payment and customer stops paying is access automatically denied from date of non-payment or do I need to put in place manual process.

Thanks in advance

P.S. I’ve just found video re Bridge to bbpress so I believe point 1 has been answered.

Hello Mark,

I’m afraid currently s2Member doesn’t support sub-domains. You’ll have to install s2Member separately on the main and sub-domains and have a script or something that syncs the DBs or something. :/

Once you figure that out, I’m not sure if it’ll make it easier, but that’s something that you’ll have to figure out first if you want to have several websites with 1 s2Member installation.

I hope I didn’t misunderstand your question. :)
