Hi, This is a really basic question (I’m sure) but I’ve been searching for this answer for a few hours now and I’m not finding it and I’m slightly frustrated since I feel like this should be easy. Anyhow, I’m trying to create a site for a client that simply registers everyone as a free member (level 0). I run a multisite install and the site I’m currently trying to create is a subdomain of my main site. I’ve allowed free membership in the s2members settings on the dashboard of my client’s site. However, every time I try to test user creation I’m sent to the mysite.com/wp-signup.php which is the user creation for the root site of my network. I would really like the people signing up for my clients site not to feel as though they are leaving her site during the registration process. I did find this article in one of the forums (http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/level-0-registration-wout-paypal/) but it mentions a hack for the free version of s2member to accomplish this goal. I tried finding directions for this issue for the pro version but I couldn’t find it. Surely there must be a way for new users to register on a subdomain site without having to register through the root site first in your pro version without having to ‘hack’ it. It really isn’t the best of user experiences to pay (what is for me) a considerable sum of money for a plugin and the first problem I face requires that I hack it. I’m coming off of another user plugin (eMember) which provided a short code for the registration form that you could place on any page you wanted. Very easy and useful. Having said that, I know I’m a new user and I’m probably missing something completely obvious. Thanks for your time, knowledge, and patience. Best Karl |
