Once more the “custom” attribute bothers me.

I have a paypal button (for testing) like this:

[s2Member-PayPal-Button level="1" ccaps="" custom="http://www.reikimagazine-online.com" success="http://www.reikimagazine-online.com/inschrijfformulier/" desc="DIT moet gaan lukken" ps="paypal" lc="" cc="USD" dg="0" ns="1" ta="0" tp="0" tt="D" ra="0.01" rp="1" rt="L" rr="BN" rrt="" rra="1" image="default" output="button" /]

I first log out to act like a new subscriber.

When I click the button I go to Paypal do the payment there and I expect to be redirected to my subscription page where the user can fill in all the data needed.

However, what I get is this:

ERROR: Unable to verify $_SERVER[“HTTP_HOST”].
Please contact Support for assistance.

If you are the site owner, please check the custom value in your Button Code. It MUST start with your domain name.

So once more this is a very serious error.
Leaving the custom attribute out doesn’t do any good, changing the

http://www.reikimagazine-online.com

to

http://reikimagazine-online.com

doesn’t offer any solution either. So what should I do to make this work as soon as possible.

Leaving the custom property out also gives errors. So I am completely stuck here. (zucht)

FYI, the paypal account that receives the money is a Pro account. I don’t know if that plays a part in this.
Also, the payments are accepted.

This is a vital part for my site, a bit like a heart in the body of a living creature.
I hope this problem is solved soon!! Without this, my site is dead before it even came alive.

Boudewijn,

Try

reikimagazine-online.com

Don’t use http or www

Boudewijn,

I just took a quick look at your site and noticed your mixing www with and without, please refer to this topic for more info

So what i suggested above is to remove the http:// bit and possibly the www bit depending on your situation

I completely removed the http://www part, still the same result:

ERROR: Unable to verify $_SERVER[“HTTP_HOST”].
Please contact Support for assistance.

If you are the site owner, please check the custom value in your Button Code. It MUST start with your domain name.

Having only the www part in the domain name gives the same results. >Sigh< if only things would work as promised. This gives me nightmares

Boudewijn,

Its very important that you use either

http://reikimagazine-online.com

or

http://www.reikimagazine-online.com

within your site, never both. Please use

www.reikimagazine-online.com

as your custom attribute as your using that more frequently in your site, then go into paypal and make sure all the settings include the www bit particularly your IPN URL.

Please make sure that all the links within your site also have the www(not all of them do).

This is probably the cause

of course I can take care for that. And then comes tghe user who comes into my site WITHOUT the www. part in the domain-name.
I’ll give the .htaccess a try first, for now, I am gonna catch some Zzzz, was up at 5 this morning and now it’s 23h.
