Hi,

I’m using S2Member Pro along with Paypal and Mailchimp integration. I’d like to setup some custom form fields for users who want to register on our site, can this be done? will this information also show up in Paypal? please advise, thanks.

You mean the s2Member custom profile fields you create here? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields[/hilite]

No, those fields aren’t sent to PayPal or MailChimp, but they’ll be in WordPress visible in the user’s profile.

I see, can you provide a link or article on how to create these custom fields?

No, there isn’t a video/tutorial for those, but they’re not very complicated to use. Just go to [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields[/hilite], click “add new field”, adjust the settings, add your values, click “create field”, click “save all changes”.

Sorry I meant Paypal Pro forms for when users want to sign-up for level 1 access and payment. Could there just be one form to register for the site AND signup for a membership or are they separate forms?

The payment pro-form will also be the registration form if the person is not logged in. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Membership Level # Forms[/hilite]

ok so can you please advise how to add fields to customize the pro form?

Just create the custom profile fields and they’ll show up in the registration form (WordPress’ default or the pro-form when the user is not logged in).

It’s strange, I added 2 custom fields and then copied the shortcode for Level 1 membership onto the sign-up page but it doesn’t show the 2 custom fields, when I added the shortcode for the FREE registration then it showed the whole signup form on both forms.

For example, when I just have this shortcode it doesn’t show the custom fields:

[s2Member-Pro-PayPal-Form register="1" level="1" ccaps="" desc="Restaurant & QSR Membership" ps="paypal" lc="" cc="USD" dg="0" ns="1" custom="restaurantandqsrreport.com" ta="0" tp="0" tt="D" ra="0.01" rp="1" rt="M" rr="1" rrt="" rra="2" accept="paypal,visa,mastercard,amex,discover,maestro,solo" accept_via_paypal="paypal" coupon="" accept_coupons="0" default_country_code="US" captcha="clean" /]

but when I add this shortcode below it does:

[s2Member-Pro-PayPal-Form register="1" level="0" ccaps="" desc="Signup now, it's Free!" custom="restaurantandqsrreport.com" tp="0" tt="D" captcha="clean" /]

But I don’t need 2 forms… thanks for your help.

Did you make sure to log out of your account when you loaded the payment pro-form? If you’re logged in, it won’t show profile fields because it doesn’t behave as a registration form, just payment.

By the way, the payment one has the [hilite mono]register="1"[/hilite] attribute, which is for the free registration pro-form only. I don’t think the generator gave you that, did you add it manually there? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Shortcode Attributes -> register[/hilite]
