Hello,

I wish to associate a user account to a subdomain of my main domain (example.com). If the user creates an account called “sample”, the sub-domain for the user would sample.example.com.

Only alphanumeric characters and the dash (-) are allowed.

On the registration form on my website, I need to create a custom text field to retrieve the subdomain of my client (control characters), but also to check if it already exists.

There is an option in s2member custom field, but it is too generic.

Do you know how can I do?

Thank you, Florence

Hi Florence.

Here’s a tip to do server-side validation of your custom profile fields, which you could adjust for your need. http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/registering-without-required-fields/#post-10707

I hope that helps. :)
