Payment goes through from this page: http://theabundantartist.com/facebook-course After the Paypal redirect is done, the user sees a page like this: When I go through this, I finish the registration and am then redirected to the login page. However, all of my customers fail to complete registration and end up as a Basic Subscriber in WordPress, with no access to the course. I have no idea how this is happening. I’ve tested it myself a few times, and I can’t seem to understand. Do I just have a bunch of dumb customers? |

Hi Cory. Are you allowing free registrations? [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Open Registration[/hilite] If so, it could be that the user is registering a free account first and then, while logged out, make the payment, but then login to the existing free account. Or maybe the user’s browser is blocking cookies and then, when he registers, the s2Member’s cookie that’d make the new registration set the user to the paid level, is not there. Do you have logging enabled? It’d be good to check the user’s transaction to see if everything went fine there. I’m not allowing Open Registrations. Just turned on logging. We’ll see what happens on my next sale. |

It happened again this morning. Customer paid, registered but he’s registered as a Free Subscriber. Here’s the log file “paypal-rtn.log” with customer info removed. PHP v5.3.2-1ubuntu4.18 :: WordPress® v3.5 :: s2Member® v121213 :: s2Member® Pro v121213 and here’s the “paypal-ipn.log” PHP v5.3.2-1ubuntu4.18 :: WordPress® v3.5 :: s2Member® v121213 :: s2Member® Pro v121213 PHP v5.3.2-1ubuntu4.18 :: WordPress® v3.5 :: s2Member® v121213 :: s2Member® Pro v121213 |

Thanks for the log entries. I see that the cookie is being set, which should make the registration set his account at the level he paid for. I’m not sure why he’s being set at Level 0.
Could you try the troubleshooting tips in this article, please? Knowledge Base » Common Troubleshooting Tips By the way, I see in the log that the term he’s paying for is 1 day, is that correct? Could you show me the shortcode you’re using? If your EOT behavior is set to demote, that’d bring the account down to Level 0 after the term is over. |

Here’s the short code: [s2Member-PayPal-Button level="1" ccaps="" desc="Facebook Marketing for Artists" ps="paypal" lc="" cc="USD" dg="0" ns="1" custom="theabundantartist.com" ta="0" tp="0" tt="D" ra="20" rp="1" rt="D" rr="BN" rrt="" rra="1" image="default" output="button" /]My goal is to make the membership permanent. What do I need to change here, or should I generate a new button? |

No need to generate a new one, you can edit that one manually. Just change the [hilite mono]rt[/hilite] to [hilite mono]L[/hilite] (lifetime): [hilite code]rt="L"[/hilite]. Try it and let me know if you still have the problem after that. :) |
