Demo member area?

Hello!

I already use s2meber for my agent portion of my site. What I am confirming is that I could run a demo(ish) portion of the member area by using the page restrictions right? I realize I would have to build sample pages along with the real pages but it would just be a matter of what they have access to correct?

Hello Rachel,

This is totally possible. However instead of levels to protect the pages, I suggest you use custom capabilities. So that you can separate it from the normal users. :)

I did see that but I have no idea how to implement it. It looks like I need to use Option #3 but I don’t know what the code means. I want my free users to see the demo pages. I want my level one users to see three pages only and my level 2 users to see the actual user site.

How does that work with the code?

What do you mean with “Option #3”?

Your free users only demo pages right? For that just protect those demo pages at level #0, so that only (free) registered users can see it. However since you’re working with levels also paid members will be able to see the demo pages.

The level 1 user can only see 3 pages? If that’s the case just protect those 3 pages at level #1, level #2 users will also be able to see these pages.

And the actual user website, you just have to protect the actual user website with level #2. Just a question with this, is the level #2 user gonna buy it’s membership in website1 and get his access in website2 (as an example)?
