I have direct free activations for membership of users that had our previous product regcodes.
They come in put in their code to activate without paying again – in our no open reg system

We also accept payments for membership within this new system

I need required inout on the old user activations (their code)
But i need to NOT see that on the purchase forms.

Meanwhile i need to be able to have the __Accept TOS & __ Accept License Agreement on BOTH forms.

I have removed %%custom_fields%% from the purchase forms because i dont know any other way to remove that requirement … but now that i need some of the fields but not others.. how the heck do i do that?

Hi Grace. It is possible to configure Custom Registration/Profile Fields in different ways, where each Field that you create will appear only at certain Membership Levels. For instance, if you create a Custom Registration/Profile Field and specify Level #1 only, that field will ONLY appear on Pro Forms associated with access to Membership Level #1.

In addition, it is also possible to configure a Custom Registration/Profile Field so that it only shows up during registration, or only during profile edits, or only during registration and then hidden (i.e. not shown in Profile edits). See screenshot below please.

* Please note. Once a customer is registered (i.e. they have an account), s2Member Pro Forms will NOT display your Custom Registration Fields again on future visits to a Pro Form. If the customer is already logged-in, s2Member assumes this information has already been collected. The customer can edit their Profile of course to change these values.

* If you require some additional functionality that goes above and beyond what I’ve discussed here, you might consider modifying your Pro Form template files in more creative ways. Pro Form template files may also contain PHP code, making them very versatile. See: http://www.s2member.com/faqs/#s2-faqs-pro-form-template-mods

Thanks Jason.. looks like “creative ways” is my only options then.
SInce the fields need to be hidden during purchase registration
but visible during activation.

They dont need to submit valid regcode if they are buying, and we cant have people that are buying thinking they need to have a valid regcode to do so. : / Likewise we cant have people using the open activation and never coming around to give the regcode after the fact.

We only offer Level 1 for purchase or activation.

Thanks though. will try to learn some creative php.
