Is it possible to edit either the PayPal Button shortcode or the Paypal Pro Forms? We need to add some affiliate code before the .

OR, is there a way to generate the full code for the button? I see on the PayPal Button Code Generator, there is a preview of the code. When I copy and paste in our page (we have a plugin to allow PHP in WordPress pages), clicking the PayPal button takes me to PayPal and shows an error that a3, p3, and t3 are not set, which they are in our form.

For the button you can use the full code you mention from the generator. Just make sure you only use the text editor and never the visual one for your post/page with it, or it’ll most likely break your code.

If you’re using it for new signups only, you can try a PayPal created button too (it won’t work for upgrades). Knowledge Base » Using Buttons Generated @ PayPal.com

To edit the pro-form’s code, see: http://www.s2member.com/kb/pro-forms/#customizing-pro-forms
