Hi,

I want to ensure that my users are real, and want to place a email loop into the sign up. I am using level 0, and I want to:
a: Let people signup
b: send an email with username, password and link to confirm email address
c: when user click confirm email, they are able to access site

Is this possible?

Thanks.

Hi Damian.

Yes, it is. Instead of letting the user choose his password on registration, have WorPress generate it, then the user will have to open that New User email to get the password and login, thus confirming the email address. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields -> Allow Custom Passwords[/hilite]

I hope that helps. :)

Ah. Not really. I need to have someone click on a link in the email and then have them return to the site to gather login details. This ensures we are not generating memberships to fake email address’s.

I read in the pre-sales that I could do this, but your advised method is not satisfactory. How can I go about a refund?

Thanks,

Damian

Ah, I see what you want now.

Well, one thing you could do is have a form where the user enters his email address, which would email him the link to the actual registration page. It’d be a simple form to code and the process would do what you need.

I hope that helps. :)
