Hi guys

We seem to have a problem and I have no idea if it is down to the latest upgrades, anyone else the same problem?

Our system suddenly stopped sending the new member the registration email after paypal payment completion, hence, they do not have a clue what to do and they contact us. On top of this, they are not even transferred to the registration page after paypal payment (like they used to by clicking the link), instead, all they get is this message…

landscapephotographymagazine.com says… Page Expired: Duplicate Return-Data. Please contact support if you need any assistance.

I have checked all settings (including paypal settings on paypal account) and they appear fine. Any help will be appreciated.

Dimitri

Hi Dimitri.

If the transaction is failing, then the emails won’t be sent. If the user registers free, does he get the New User email?

Could you please send me all the log files from wp-content/plugins/s2member-logs? You do have logging enabled, right? If not, enable it and send the files after you get a transaction with the problem, please. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Account Details -› Logging[/hilite]

Thanks!

Hi Christian

The transaction doesn’t fail, the payment goes through. We do not have free registration enabled, only paid clients can register.

Logging is enabled and I have the folder, however, how do I get it to you? It seems like a large folder.

You can zip it and upload it to your server, then send me the URL to the file via the Contact Form, please. s2Member® » Private Contact Form

Thanks. :)

Hi Guys

Any news in this? I have sent you the requested files. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Does it have to do with your latest update as it was fine before?

Sorry for the delayed reply. For some reason your email went to the spam folder and I didn’t notice it. I just found it and went through the logs.

I see in the logs that since the 17th of June all transactions say:

[hilite code] 5 => 'Duplicate IPN. Already processed. This IPN will be ignored.',[/hilite]

I’m not sure why this is, so I’ll forward it to Jason for review.

In the meantime, a couple of things you can do: update s2Member to the latest release and, just in case it’s caused by some conflict with another plugin, could you try deactivating other plugins one by one and testing with a live 1 cent purchase? Do the purchases from another browser where you’re not logged in, please.

Just noticed that you have W3 Total Cache installed with object caching enabled. This is known to cause trouble. http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=6309#p62322

I think I will wait for Jason’s review before I start with the plugins, as we are running quite a few on the site. As for W3 total cache, we didn’t have any problems so far, however, I have now disabled Object caching as per recommendation.

Okay.

Now that you disabled object caching, could you do a test 1 cent purchase and see of the log entry mentions an email having been sent?

Hi Cristian

We just had our new member registration and it worked just fine, it must have been the object caching.

Thank you for your help

Great! Thanks for confirming it. Glad it solved the problem. :)
