Hello,
I have successfully configured AmazonS3/Cloudfront for audio streaming.

Now, I need to upload PDFs, and in order to speedup the creation of a post, I was thinking to use this plugin

Everything works nicely, but I have an issue with the mod rewrite, because of course the system will redirect to Amazon (where the file has not been uploaded).

I was reading the documentation and I found this:
Specifying storage location option dynamically:
… /wp-content/plugins/s2member-files/s2member-file-storage-[local|s3|cf]/example-file.zip
… /wp-content/plugins/s2member-files/s2member-file-storage-cf/example-cloudfront-file.zip
… /wp-content/plugins/s2member-files/s2member-file-storage-s3/s2member-file-inline/example-s3-file.html

I’m not sure if this is going to fix my problem.
Can I use both Local and AmazonS3 storage?

Thanks

Can I use both Local and AmazonS3 storage?

If you don’t configure an Amazon integration, then the s2member-files directory will be used. if you configure Amazon, then that will be used. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Amazon® S3/CDN Storage[/hilite]

You’ll still be able to link to the s2member-files folder when you use Amazon, but it’ll just be rewritten to the actual location in Amazon. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Advanced Mod-Rewrite Linkage[/hilite]

Hello,
Thanks for your response.

I read the Advanced Mod-Rewrite Linkage, but it is still unclear if I will be available to use the s2member-files directory.

Any chance you have any example or guide that I can follow in order to better understand how the advanced mod-rewrite works?

Thanks.

If you have a file named example.mp3 in the s2member-files folder, then your URL to the file would be

http://yoursite.com/wp-content/plugins/s2member-files/example.mp3

If you integrated s2Member with an Amazon bucket an you put the file example.mp3 in that bucket, the above URL would still work.

With the mod-rewrite format you can add some of the variables s2Member has for the file protection, without using the querystring after the question mark. This can be useful with some players.

The documentation available for the mod-rewrite format is here: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Advanced Mod-Rewrite Linkage[/hilite]
