Free subscription for existing users

Hi,
my situation is as follows:
I’ve got a registered user, who should be able to apply for 2 custom Roles (Role 1 & 2). These two roles are free of charge, but have different levels of access. Further, Role 2 should need a certain invitation code if a user wants to sign up. How can i create something like this? I don’t want to use pro forms as the user is already registered and should now be able to upgrade.

s2Member currently does not have a Pro Form available for upgrading Users to a higher level without charge. If you need to upgrade users this way, you will need to do this manually through the WordPress Dashboard.

Alternatively, if you would like a more advanced approach, you can have Users upgrade using the information provided in this KB Article:
