I am building a new company website in WordPress and want to restrict marketing collateral download/product demo access/??? to registered users only. By “registered users”, I simply mean that I want to require anyone wishing access to sales-related information to register with us so as to collect CRM type info about the potential customer for sales follow-up purposes. Is s2 overkill for this? In addition to marketing collateral, we have both online demos and downloadable trials (of our thick client products) that we want to restrict access to those willing to give us their demographic information. While we may be offering one or more subscription-based hosted solutions at a later date (for which s2 sounds ideal), for now I am merely looking to build a pre-sales database of all interested potential customers. Assuming that s2 is a good fit for the above, can I customize the registration form so as to collect info about particular product area interest and save this info in a database along with their contact info? Thanks in advance for any-and-all feedback! |
