This afternoon, we moved to launch our new website using S2 member. We have been developing the platform with WordPress on a Windows Server.

For some unknown reason, when we switched the domain and were looking forward to a hard-earned successful launch, S2 Member Database completely reset.

All custom fields, all membership levels are gone and all restrictions are missing. In fact, it looks like S2 did a clean install and all work has been destroyed.

Our options are to completely rebuild the platform or start to ask questions here in the forum.

1. What would cause something?

2. Aren’t Custom Field Types and restriction levels stored in a database. Why would those be erased.

We have a backup – we may try to do that, but this is a serious issue. One that popped us as soon as we went live and there’s no real sense to follow through if we dont understand why it happened in the first place.

Look forward to any suggestions.

Thanks.

David

We discovered the export.s2e details and were able to restore our custom field types. Still a bit puzzled as to why the out of the blue reset…:-(
