Good afternoon. Thanks in advance for any help.

We have been running our membership site for about a year as a trial. It’s been successful, so we are investing a little more into it aiming to grow it significantly in year 2.

Here’s the major problem we face:

All of our initial memberships expire on 12/31/2012 and we are unclear what the process is or mechanism might be to get them to renew.

Many of them are complimentary memberships, many more were manually added, and others joined via the site in a traditional manner… though s2member pro forms only charged them a 1-time fee as opposed to creating a subscription that might auto-renew.

We’ve poked around in the knowledge base and other documentation and we just can’t figure out how to set up a mechanism for them to pay again.

Here is our current pro form:

[s2Member-Pro-PayPal-Form level="1" ccaps="" desc="$19.95 USD / One Time (for access through Dec 31, 2012)" ps="paypal" lc="" cc="USD" dg="0" ns="1" custom="uywi.org" ta="0" tp="0" tt="D" ra="19.95" rp="1" rt="Y" rr="BN" rrt="" rra="2" accept="paypal,visa,mastercard,amex,discover,maestro,solo" accept_via_paypal="paypal" coupon="" accept_coupons="1" default_country_code="" captcha="0" /]

Can you please point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Hi uywi.

Congratulations on a successful membership! :)

Since you’re using Buy Now, it’s very easy to extend their paid time. Please take a look at the setting here: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Automatic EOT Behavior -> Fixed-Term Extensions[/hilite]

Just make sure that the user that wants to extend his membership, is logged in when he uses the pro-form, otherwise he’d be creating a new account.

Does that help?
