What way would I go about hiding certain widgets if someone is a paid member? I’d like to make ads go away anyways for people who pay. Would it just be simpler to just use some form of an api function to accomplish this (meaning also to implement the widget with php code rather than through wordpress’s widget page)?

Hello Stephen,

Have you tried s2member conditionals? Here’s an article about them:

Hope this helps. :)

The theme I’m dealing with pretty much consists of widget areas, but I’m sure what you suggested would work. Is there some logical way of using it in the widget area, without having to go through source files to accomplish this? Just asking before I spend the time having to figure out how to reorganize the themes code to make it work.

I’m pretty sure there is no other way, sorry. :/

Make sure to use PHP conditionals btw, otherwise it won’t work. ;)
