I just want to clarify something I heard in the S2/Buddypress video. I recently discovered after creating a blog farm that Buddypress was not designed to handle blog farms as different instances. When it comes to Buddypress out of the box, it treats every blog in the blog farm as one instance.

I need it to treat each one has it’s own instance and used a plugin to create that.

I think I understood on the video that S2Member treats each new blog as it’s own instance AND I’m having minor functionality issues with the export feature of S2. Because the site is live, I am unwilling to remove that plugin from my MU plugins folder.

But if S2Member treats them as separate, I probably don’t need the separate plugin. Can you clarify for me if that is true?

Essentially each site and Buddypress environment needs to be it’s own entity.

Thanks in advance.

Laran
