I have a membership site which offers a course for 4 months and then it must stop billing, but there is no such option when creating a button shortcode, only for ongoing access, how do i change it to 4 months?

Thanks in advance,

Hello Thierry,

I’m afraid I don’t understand the problem.

You want to create a subscription button that bills the user for 4 months and then stops? Or a buy-now button that bills the user once but only lasts 4 months (the access that is)?

Could you please clarify on this? Thanks!

hey eduan,

i want to create a subscription button that bills the user for 4 months and then stops.

but with the shortcode generator there is no option for that, only ongoing access or one time access, can you tell me how to make a button for 4 months and then stops?

thanks in advance,

Ah I get you, I refreshed my memory.

Check under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Shortcode Attributes (Explained), look for the rrt attribute.

This allows you to accomplish what you want, you would generate a normal monthly ongoing payments button and you would modify it so it works with the rrt attribute. :)

Just remember that when this 4 month period ends the EOT will be triggered. In other words, the user will lose his membership.

Lol, good thing you refreshed your memory ok thanks that was what i was looking for, and no problem they don’t need their membership after 4 months because there is only content for 4 months and there is no need to make them pay for longer if they don’t receive any more content :-)

Thanks Eduan,
