I have a problem with the free plugin that I cannot seem to get support for.

Can anyone please tell me how I can get this resolved? Is there someone I can contact? Is there somewhere else I can post the problem? If the supporet guys need more info, all they need do is ask! I’m motivated to solve this.

I posted a detailed (or so I thought) description of my problem, along with the troubleshooting I’ve done about two weeks ago. It’s here: link to previous post. I added a reminder post about a week ago.

Briefly: as soon as I put an s2-hacks.phpfile in the mu-plugins directory, WordPress won’t save posts and pages. This is not a customisation issue, since even an empty s2-hacks file triggers the problem. I’ve done some basic troubleshooting, but I’m stumped – and stopped!

I know this is the free plugin, but I assumed that a company that also offers a paid premium plugin would support their free plugin. This appears to be what this forum is for, but I may have misunderstood this. I know there’s a special support forum for paid users, but I’m reluctant to pay for a plugin that doesn’t work for me and appears to have no support for the first and only problem I have with it.

It’s smart marketing to give away something for free that so impresses the user that they’ll invest in your paid product. However, ignoring a critical support question doesn’t accomplish this.

What a shame! The functionality of this plugin is great, and it’s clearly robust and well thought-out. Unfortunately, a key feature for me can only be implemented with s2-hacks.php, and this is causing some sort of fundamental WordPress issue. Again, I stress that the problem isn’t the custom code in thge s2-hacks file! This works plawlessly. The problem is that the mere presence of the s2-hacks file causes an issue with WordPress.

Any suggestions as to how I can get help resolving this? Is there an option to pay for support?

Thanks,
Garry
