Hello,

I am having a problem with URI restriction. My site is on a test domain so my url is http://testdomain.com/mysite. I set up Level 1 URI restriction as follows:

/mysite/downloads/file1.pdf
/mysite/downloads/file2.pdf

Both URIs are menu options and they are fully accessible by a non-logged in user.

Please advise.

Thank you

Hello Tim,

URI Access restrictions don’t work on files, it will only work on pages and posts within WordPress.

If you want to protect files then you can use the options under:
Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Basic Download Restrictions
Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Download Limit Exceeded Page
Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Advanced Download Restrictions

Here’s a video on these restrictions:
Video » s2Member (File Download Options)

Hope this helps. :)

Thank you very much

Hi Simon.

The URI restriction works for URLs served by WordPress, so that example you gave can’t be protected with this restriciton.

For file protection you can use the Downloads restriction, as long as the files are in the s2member-files directory, or an Amazon S3 bucket you integrated with s2Member. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options[/hilite]
