Sorry about the chopped subject. The Subject field doesn’t allow enough characters to enter a completely descriptive (useful for Google) title.

How can we make a page which will allow users to down grade to level zero (free registered subscriber), without forcing them to cancel?

s2Member® Pro / PayPal® Pro Forms > Pro Form Generator For Billing Modifications, doesn’t have the option to allow a level 2 or level 1 user to go down to level 0.

That only leaves the “Cancel” option which is undesirable and confusing.

How can we do this?

Hello Chris,

So you want your users to continue paying but go down to level 0? Did I understand correctly?

If so, then this is not possible with s2Member, the level 0 is supposed to be 100% free, you can’t associate any kind of payments with that level, since it is the WordPress subscriber role to begin with. :)

P.S.: Please don’t use the title of “S2Member Pro Beta Tester” unless you have been given that title by Jason or a support rep, in which case they would give you a badge I would think. :)

Eduan,

Sorry I wasn’t clear.

We want users to be able to downgrade and not pay again.

So they would go from either level one or level two–to level zero, as a free subscriber.

But there is no ability to create a “Downgrade to Level O” form inside of s2M.

There is the ability to create the shortcodes to downgrade to level one or level two.

Thank you.

Chris

BTW the beta tester thing was a joke–i feel like I’m buying products from Redmond becuase things don’t always work as they should.

Well, I looked around a bit and you can use the PayPal button for unsubscribing, which you can find under Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Buttons -› Subscr. Cancellation Buttons, see if that’s better for your needs.

And there’s also, of course, the pro-form version of it: Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Pro Forms -› Billing Cancellation Forms.

Check them out, see which one fits you better. Also not sure if the button version will work with the subscriptions created using the pro-forms. But you can test them out. :)

P.S.: I understand it’s a joke, I read the post explaining it I think. :) Just saying that for new users that are not aware of the fact that we don’t have beta testers yet. Those might think the new version of s2Member is already in beta, when it isn’t. ;)
