hi there, I have a question about limiting a file download. Under ‘Specific Post/Page Link Generator’ I can manually generate Specific Post/Page Links for customers so that they can gain access to/download a file on that page. My questions is, is there a way to limit those downloads to say maximum 3 downloads? So, if the life of the link is 5 days then I want to leave it at that, only control how many downloads are made – does this make sense? Daniel

Hi Dan.

No, that would not be possible with Specific Post/Pages, because there’s no account involved, so there’s no count of the downloads to check when he reached his limit.

If the user is logged in and you protect the file with a Level, then you can set the number of downloads every n days, though. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Basic Download Restrictions[/hilite]
