Hi!

I just can’t find how to set up my things in order to be able to sell my ebooks on my website with S2member Paypal and S3. Where is the “How to” about that? Is it possible not to have people become member of the site in order to buy?

Thanks!

Manon

Hi again,

I have been able to configure Amazon® S3/CDN Storage & Delivery and upload my .zip files to S3. I have inserted the links to the S3 files on a secured page (with the specific page/post restriction). However, when we access this page and clic on the links in order to download the files, I get the message: AccessDeniedAccess Denied8F134294CF3A81DFvAI7kF/90NXUEXA2hU9PsPHY2AOWtVdCMVEHRQiqC7PqcupU/+lwufbnSjnsfzzx

I must be doing something wrong then. Can you help me please?

Thanks!

Manon

Hi Manon.

When you sell the Specific Post, the user won’t be required to be logged in to open the page, he can open it with the access link he gets by email. The download protection with s2Member, checks the access the user has, but if he’s logged out, he defaults to no access to files that are protected.

To allow those files to be downloaded by users that aren’t logged in with an account that has the required access for them, you’ll need to use a downlaod key in the link to the files. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Advanced Download Restrictions[/hilite]

I hope that helps. :)

Thanks for your support Cristian! I still have a question: What are the permission grantee for open/download (on the S3 side) do I have to add for each file in my Bucket (that I will put the link on a secured page on my site like you mentioned)? “Everyone”? For now, it works well with this option but I’m afraid this may not be the secure way to do it. I’m I right? I’m I wrong?

No, limit the permissions. s2Member generates a key for Amazon to allow the download. If you permit the download to everybody, then Amazon will allow the download if someone has the address to the file, which they could get from the download page. http://www.primothemes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10054&p=20269#p20269

Sorry for being so slow to understand but it still doesn’t work!

I have changed the link from https://s3.amazonaws.com/CarnetMcommeMuses/Calendrier.zip to http://escapadescreatives.mcommemuses.com/?s2member_file_download=Calendrier.zip like mentioned in the Download/Amazon3 storage option but when I click on the link, I still get the “AccessDeniedAccess Denied8F134294CF3A81DFvAI7kF/90NXUEXA2hU9PsPHY2AOWtVdCMVEHRQiqC7PqcupU/+lwufbnSjnsfzzx”. And my files are still on the “Everyone” access grantee on S3! :-(

There is a part that I’m missing. Do I have to have access to /wp-content/plugins/s2member-files? Which I don’t for now as my web hosted doesn’t allow me to have access to wp-content!

I have changed the link from https://s3.amazonaws.com/CarnetMcommeMuses/Calendrier.zip to http://escapadescreatives.mcommemuses.com/?s2member_file_download=Calendrier.zip like mentioned in the Download/Amazon3 storage option but when I click on the link, I still get the “AccessDeniedAccess

That link still doesn’t have a download key. Please read this: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› Download Options -› Advanced Download Restrictions[/hilite]

Do I have to have access to /wp-content/plugins/s2member-files?

No, that’s not used when you integrate with S3.
