Hi!
I have not got any answer for my first question, May be I will be more lucky now.

The link back to “site name” just below login/registration page (modified by s2member) has https:// prefix (ssl channel), but for me it has to be http:// ( no ssl).
What should I do to change this link from ssl channel to open?

Thank you in advance.
Best regards. Sergios

Thank you for reporting this important issue.

Can you post a link to the page this is happening on?

Hi Bruce!
URL of my test site is site1.birgitta.ru/wp-login.php (sorry, it’s in russian)
There are 3 links just below login (registration, lost password) form:
to registration form (must start with https://)
to lost password form (must start with https://)
back to site (must start with http://) but starts with https://
So. All pages, contained any personal information, must be accessible only via ssl channel (no problem), all others without ssl (problem).
Best regards. Sergios
PS. When I finish testing and be shure that translation is acceptable, I’ll share it if I find the way.

Thanks for the follow-up.

The link you’re referring to is something that s2Member isn’t controlling, that’s a WordPress thing. You can stop that from happening like this:

Put this into a Must-Use plugin:

http://jobs.wordpress.net, or another freelance web site where WordPress® experts are offering their expertise through a bid on your project.

I also want to note that, according to my browser, your site is not SSL ready yet. You’ll want to take a look at that before you go live. :-)

This is the error Google Chrome is giving me.

It also reports your SSL certificate is not from a trusted source.

Hi Bruce!

1. Of cource. This is test site and we made self-signed sercificate for it.
2. The best dolution I found is to use HTTPS plugin, which works perfectly. All pages which should not be accessible only via ssl channel has prefix http://.
I mean that we can get the same begavour utilizing s2member, but when I add custom field s2member_force_ssl=no, nothing happened. As I understand, this function in s2 is not enforcing. May be it’s a good idea to make small changes and add this option to s2? In this case we would do not need an extra plugin.
And I do not think, that only me who needed this option

Best regards. Sergios

s2Member’s s2member_foce_ssl custom field is meant only for turning on SSL, not turning it off. Based on what I’ve seen of your site everything looks alright except for the error I posted, but since you know how to remedy that I’d say that you’re okay.
