Importing users with custom field data

Hi,

We plan to switch from a proprietary membership platform to WordPress and S2Member. We have a number of custom user profile fields in the old site.

If we set up similar custom fields in user profiles in our new pro version of S2Member, will we be able to import our old custom field data with the same column names in a .csv file into S2Member? That is, if we have defined User City in S2Member, can we upload old city data to the User City field as part of our mass import?

Are there any problems we need to be aware of with importing? What about blanks in the .csv file, how should they be handled?

Yes, s2Member Pro’s import features would certainly make this possible.

1. Configure your Registration/Profile Fields with s2Member, assigning each of them a unique ID in s2Member.
2. Follow the importation instructions to map your old custom field data to the new ID within s2Member.
3. Any blanks, can simply be left blank, or excluded all together for that matter. This won’t be a problem.
