Hi There,

Please know I have spent several hours now trying to get help with installing s2member-pro prior to writing this. I understand FTP and know Filezilla well.

My main website http://www.catalinasangels.com is hosted through Yahoo Site Solutions. My membership site is http://www.catalinasangels.com/blog and was done through wordpress plug-in that works through Yahoo Site Solutions. One year ago I installed s2member and it works well ~ THANK YOU !!!

For my one year anniversary of having a basic membership site I decided to upgrade to s2member-pro.

What happens is when I upload the s2member-pro it is uploaded onto a FILE MANAGER database that is hosted via yahoo for the main part of my website http://www.catalinasangels.com. I cannot seem to get the uploaded s2member-pro onto the blog site/WordPress/plugins. I don’t know how to do that.

If you have any suggestions or insight on how I can install this properly ~ I would appreciate all help ~ Thank you

Catalina

Hi Catalina. I’m very sorry I missed your post until now.

Great! I’m very glad to see you’re enjoying s2Member. :)

Hmm… I’m not familiar with Yahoo! Site Solutions, but it should be possible for you to upload files to where you want them in your site. What did Yahoo! say regarding upload to the plugins directory?

If you send me your site’s info, I can take a look at this to try sorting it out: s2Member® » Private Contact Form

Hi Christian,

Good to hear from you. Thanks for responding to my question. Yahoo site solutions does not provide any assistance at all for WP even though they encourage it and offer WP to be a part of a Yahoo website. I will give them another call to see if they can assist me with uploading the s2member-pro via FTP to my WP Plug-In Directory. I have a feeling that my Filezilla account automatically uploads onto the yahoo file manager. Maybe if I call them and tell them I want the s2member-pro zip file uploaded onto my WP Plug-In Directory ~ maybe they can help me do that. I didn’t know that is what needed to be done. Let me give this a whirl with yahoo customer support and see if they will assist me to do that first. I will get back with you and let you know what happens. Thanks for your clarity Christian.

Regards, Catalina

Sounds like a plan. If that’s not enough, though, please send me your site’s info and I’ll see what I can do. If you have a control panel too, plese include the credentials for it, maybe it has a web file manager that I can use if the FTP is no good.

By the way, you mentioned the s2Member Pro zip file. What you should upload to the plugins directory is the content of that zip file, not the zip file itself. If you extract the zip file, you’ll see the s2member-pro directory, that’s what you have to upload to /wp-content/plugins/. Please review this article for more details: s2Member® » Pro » Install/Upgrade Instructions

Hi Cristian,

I sent you a private message with details on how to access ftp and membership site. I did not do so well with yahoo customer assistance ~ so, hopefully you will be able to help.

I do appreciate your willingness to help me sort this out and get s2member-pro uploaded.

Thank You !

Catalina

Thanks, got the email.

I found the s2member-pro folder in the root dir, so I moved it to /blog/wp-content/plugins/.

The s2Member Pro features are now active in your WordPress installation. :)
