integrating a custom payment system

We are trying to integrate the s2member plugin with a Korean payment system. We are creating membership levels through s2member and assigning the roles to users after their payment is processed successfully. We used the set_role() functions, as described in one of the how-to articles, to assign the specific roles.

Then we had to figure how to manage the automatic EOT without using Paypal…a search through the forums, found that there are hooks provided to do that in this discussion:

Now the question is, are we doing this the correct way? What are other things(like setting EOT) that we should look into, to utilise the features of s2member properly?

Also, if there any guides, articles that explains the process of using custom payment systems with s2member, we’ll be glad to get the links.
