Hi there,

Is it possible to hide First Name and Display Name in the Login Welcome Page? I know how to do it with custom fields but not the standard fields. OR is it possible to make then NOT editable by the user?

Thanks and cheers,
Gil

Hello Gil,

I’m afraid this is not possible without modifying WordPress itself. Every default field is editable by the user. :)

Although, the login welcome page is filled with content you put in it, so if you don’t put a replacement shortcode for the user’s first name or display name it will never show them.

Hi Eduan,

Thanks for your reply!

We found a way using some javascript on that login welcome page to disable edits of those fields.

When the site is live, I will share the link and the solution we used here ;-)

Cheers,

Gil
