i’m helping a non-profit organization with about 800 members set up a better way to manage the membership. i’m looking for a tool where members would be able to go online and update their profiles (which isn’t huge, but includes maybe 25 data points) and pay their annual dues online. i’ve downloaded and installed the free version, and i think this will work, but not totally sure. Right now we have an individual for the organization who uses an access database to manage membership, could that be replaced with this plugin? where the “administrator” could go in and update individuals profiles but the individuals could also? some members won’t want to use the online system to pay dues, they would prefer mailing a check, would the administrator be able to log in and update their account as “paid” for the latest year?

Thank you,
David

Hi David.

That would be possible with the free version of s2Member.

For the extra profile fields, you’d be able to use the s2Member custom profile fields. [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Registration/Profile Fields[/hilite].

Then you’d be able to edit those fields yourself, or the user himself, going to his profile page.

From the same profile page you can edit the expiration date (EOT time) to indicate when his paid term ends.

s2Member’s behavior on EOT, can be configured from here: [hilite path]Dashboard -› s2Member® -› PayPal® Options -› Automatic EOT Behavior[/hilite].

I hope that helps! :)
