membership level discounted upgrade pricing?

Hi guys,

We charge $9.99 a month for Level 1 subscribers and $29.99 a month for Level 2 subscribers.

Problem is when someone upgrades a level they get billed the full $29.99 regardless of where they are during their monthly payment cycle. If they upgrade mid way for example they pay $29.99 plus they paid $9.99 just 2 weeks earlier.

Is there a way to discount their 1st payment when they upgrade based on where they are in the payment cycle or give them x days free until they pay the first full month on the Level 2 plan?

Hi Chris.

Yeah, you’d need to use PHP to calculate the days left in the month (time and date functions will help), and then give those days as the initial term, so the regular payments start at the beginning of the month. http://php.net/date
